Multi-factor authentication

Develo's modern pediatric software stack is built from the ground up with security and compliance with the latest ONC Certification Criteria for Health IT (2015 CURES edition) in mind, including criteria §170.315(d)(13): Multi-factor authentication. Accordingly, the Develo EHR supports multi-factor authentication (MFA) for authorized user login access, inclusive of the following use cases:

  • Authorized user login while on-site at a practice location
  • Authorized user login while accessing the Develo EHR remotely

Access details

Multi-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security to your Develo EHR account by requiring both your primary credentials and a secondary verification method. Follow the steps below to complete the secure login process:

  1. Navigate to the Develo EHR login page. Open your web browser and navigate to your login webpage.
  2. Enter primary credentials. Input your username and password in the designated input fields and click the login button.
  3. Receive secondary authentication prompt. Once your primary credentials are verified, obtain the secondary auth prompt.
  4. Retrieve the Verification Code. Obtain the code using your pre-selected second authentication method.
  5. Enter the Verification Code. Input the received code into the appropriate field on the authentication prompt.
  6. Complete authentication. If the verification code is correct, the system will grant you access to your Develo EHR account.

Remote access privileges

The ability to access the Develo EHR remotely is available to authorized users with the proper remote access privileges enabled. This access is configured in close coordination with practice leadership. If remote access is blocked for your Develo EHR account, please reach out to your practice leadership or to Develo support at support@getdevelo.com.

Multi-factor authentication usage

While Develo offers its customers the ability to utilize multi-factor authentication for authorized user login access, it is an optional feature that is not required for any healthcare provider organization using the Develo EHR. Multi-factor authentication usage in part or in full across Develo EHR authorized users is configured in close coordination with practice leadership.
